Actor James Handy, 81, stabbed to death in Los Angeles

Veteran actor James Handy, 81, was stabbed to death Wednesday after an attack, police said.
Police allege that Michael Gledhill, 44, stabbed Handy but haven’t released a motive for the killing. Gledhill is the son of Handy’s girlfriend and lived with the couple.
The Los Angeles Police Department said they got a report of “unknown trouble” in the Tarzana area of the city. Gledhill flagged down responding police officers and told them he was the person they were looking for, ABC News reported. They found Handy in the front yard of a home with a stab wound to the chest.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The LAPD said Gledhill had called emergency services and said, “I am the son of man, I just killed the man of sin.”
Gledhill was arrested on murder charges, and his bail was set for $2 million.
Handy was known for Arachnophobia, The Rocketeer, Jumanji and Top Gun: Maverick. His credits also include, Logan, The X-Files and NYPD Blue. IMDB lists 147 credits with one more upcoming.
