Daniel Jones, De’Von Achane and Zach Ertz were among the NFL players injured in Week 14. Injured players will be evaluated this week to determine the extent of their injuries and potential timelines for return.
Indianapolis Colts coach Shane Steichen said Jones sustained a potentially season-ending right Achilles injury in the first half of a 36-19 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in Jacksonville, Fla. He did not return.
Sources confirmed Monday to NFL Network and ESPN that Jones tore his Achilles and will require season-ending surgery.
Jones completed 5 of 7 passes for 60 yards and an interception against the Jaguars. The seven-year veteran completed a career-high 68% of his throws for 3,101 yards, 19 scores and eight interceptions through 13 starts this season. He also ran for 164 yards and five scores on 45 carries.

Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane sustained a rib injury in the first half of a 34-10 win over the New York Jets on Sunday in East Rutherford, N.J. He totaled 105 yards from scrimmage and a score on eight touches before his exit. Backup running back Jaylen Wright logged 24 carries for 107 yards in the victory.
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Achane’s shoulder was “hurting,” but he could have returned to the game, if necessary. He said “one would hope,” when asked if Achane will be available for Week 15.
“The good news is, as you guys saw, we do have some other players to hand the ball off to as well,” McDaniel told reporters. “I promise you, he’ll be in there if he’s ready.”

Daniels completed 9 of 20 passes for 78 yards and an interception. He also ran for 16 yards on four carries. Backup quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 2 of 4 passes for 30 yards. He also threw an interception and lost a fumble.
Quinn said Daniels fell on his left elbow and could have returned, but he decided to keep Mariota in the game. He said “early signs” showed a serious injury for Ertz.
The Commanders (3-10) will play the New York Giants (2-11) in Week 15.
