Daniels, Stroud, Nacua, Kraft among injured in NFL’s Week 9

Jayden Daniels, C.J. Stroud, Puka Nacua and Tucker Kraft were among the NFL players hurt in Week 9. Players injured through Sunday’s slate of matchups will be evaluated this week to determine timelines for return.
Quarterback Daniels injured his left elbow in the fourth quarter of a 38-14 Washington Commanders loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in Landover, Md. Sources told NFL Network that he dislocated the elbow and is expected to miss several games.
Daniels completed 16 of 22 passes for 153 yards and an interception. He also ran for 51 yards and a score. Second-string quarterback Marcus Mariota is in line to start amid Daniels’ expected absence.
Commanders wide receiver Luke McCaffrey (shoulder), cornerback Marshon Lattimore (knee), defensive tackle Eddie Goldman (concussion) and safety Quan Martin (hamstring) also were hurt in Sunday’s loss.
Seahawks cornerback Joshua Jobe (concussion) and linebacker Ernest Jones (knee) also exited early.
The Commanders (3-6) will host the Detroit Lions (5-3) in Week 10. The Seahawks (6-2) will host the Arizona Cardinals (2-5).

The Lions lost cornerback Terrion Arnold (back) and offensive linemen Taylor Decker (knee) and Christian Mahogany (knee) in a 27-24 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday in Detroit.
Vikings running back Aaron Jones also exited early due to a shoulder injury. He told reporters after the game that he sustained an AC joint sprain and thinks he can play in Week 10.
Jones logged 98 yards from scrimmage on 11 touches in the victory. Backup running back Jordan Mason totaled 37 yards from scrimmage on 11 touches.
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud sustained a concussion in the second quarter of an 18-15 loss to the Denver Broncos. Stroud completed 6 of 10 passes for 79 yards and ran for 12 yards in the loss.

Backup quarterback Davis Mills completed 17 of 30 passes for 137 yards in relief of Stroud. The Texans also lost defensive end Darrell Taylor (ankle) and offensive linemen Tytus Howard (concussion) and Ed Ingram (knee) to injuries.
The Texans (3-5) will host the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-3) on Sunday in Houston.
The Jaguars lost lost wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. (ankle), guard Ezra Cleveland (ankle/knee) and cornerback Jourdan Lewis (ankle) to injuries in a 30-29 win over the Las Vegas Raiders.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua injured his ribs and exited in the third quarter of a 34-10 win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday in Inglewood, Calif.
Coach Sean McVay told reporters Nacua was “good” and could have returned to the game, but was held out as a precaution. Nacua totaled seven catches for 95 yards and a score in the victory.
The Rams (6-2) will take on the San Francisco 49ers (6-3) in Week 10.
The 49ers lost defensive end Mykel Williams to what coach Kyle Shanahan believes to be an ACL injury in their 34-24 win over the New York Giants on Sunday in East Rutherford, N.J.
The Giants (2-7) lost center John Michael Schmitz (shin) and linebacker Darius Muasau (ankle) in the loss. They will take on the Chicago Bears (5-3) in Week 10.
Bears tight end Cole Kmet sustained a concussion in a 47-42 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday in Cincinnati. He hauled in one catch for 10 yards.
Bengals running back Samaje Perine injured an ankle. The Bengals (3-6) are on bye in Week 10.
Green Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft and wide receiver Matthew Golden sustained respective knee and shoulder injuries during a 16-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday in Green Bay, Wis.
Kraft hauled in two catches for 20 yards. Golden caught two passes for 9 yards.
Packers coach Matt Lafleur said Kraft’s injury is serious and “doesn’t look good.” Sources told NFL Network that the Packers fear Kraft tore his ACL.
The Packers also lost defensive lineman Colby Wooden to a shoulder injury. Panthers guard Chandler Zavala exited early due to an elbow injury.
The Packers (5-2-1) will host the Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) on Nov. 10 in Green Bay, Wis.
Los Angeles Chargers tackle Joe Alt, New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte (hamstring) and Atlanta Falcons edge rusher Leonard Floyd (hamstring) were among other NFL players injured in Week 9.
The Dallas Cowboys (3-4-1) will host the Cardinals in the NFL’s Week 9 finale at 8:15 p.m. EST Monday in Arlington, Texas.
