Deloitte will begin using AnthropicAI’s Claude assistant for hundreds of thousands of its global employees.
The global professional service giant Deloitte announced Monday that more than 470,000 of its workers around the world will gain access to Anthropic’s artificial intelligence assistant Claude in San Francisco-based Anthropic’s biggest deployment to date.
“We are both investing a significant amount in this partnership, whether that’s financial or whether it is just simply the engineering resource that we’re going to put into this as well,” Paul Smith, Anthropic’s chief commercial officer, told CNBC.
Anthropic revealed its latest Claude Sonnet 4.5 AI model last month and announced it closed out a $13 billion round of funding for a $183 billion valuation.
Deloitte, with headquarters in London, will deploy unique Claude “personas” across its work platform in more than 150 countries. In addition, a Claude “Center of Excellence” will offer staff training and support.
But few other details were released on the new enterprise.
Deloitte announced the deal the same day Australia’s government said the company would issue a partial refund over errors made by AI in a report.
On Monday, a top Deloitte official claimed in a statement the company was making its “significant” investment in Anthropic’s AI platform because their mutual approaches to “responsible AI” were “very aligned.”
“Our clients obviously want to know: ‘Are you using it as well?’ So we can advise them better, we can be more credible,” said Ranjit Bawa, Deloitte’s U.S. chief strategy and technology officer.
“That’s why we said we got to start with ourselves as we continue to have our clients reimagine their future,” he added.
