The Denver Broncos signed Pro Bowl pass rusher Nik Bonitto to a four-year, $106 million contract extension, his agency, Athletes First, announced Thursday.

Bonitto’s deal includes $70 million guaranteed. The fourth-year linebacker, who joined the Broncos in the second round of the 2022 NFL Draft, totaled a career-high 13.5 sacks over 17 games last season.

The 6-foot-3 defender totaled 48 total tackles, 24 quarterback hits, 16 tackles for a loss, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery for a score and an interception for a score in 2024.

Bonitto, who was entering the final year of his contract, totaled 23 sacks through the first 47 appearances of his NFL career.

Pro Football Focus gave Bonitto the 17th-best defensive rating among edge rushers who were in for at least 50% of the maximum snaps played at the position last season. He received the best coverage rating among qualifying players.

The Broncos host the Tennessee Titans at 4:05 p.m. EDT Sunday in Denver.
