Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane is still recovering from the left shoulder injury he sustained in 2025-26, coach Jeff Hafley said Wednesday.
The Dolphins star, who signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension earlier this month, has not been a full participant in organized team activities.
Achane missed the Dolphins’ final game of the 2025-26 regular season. He totaled a career-high 1,838 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns over 16 appearances during the campaign, leading to his first Pro Bowl selection.
“He had something in his shoulder he had to get cleaned up,” Hafley said at the Baptist Health Training Complex in Miami Gardens, Fla. “He did that and he is rehabbing right now.
“He is doing well. You will see him out there doing some drills and running around. You just won’t see him do full team drills.”
Ollie Gordon II and Jaylen Wright are the other top rushers returning for the Dolphins in 2026-27. The Dolphins owned the No. 13 rushing offensive in the NFL last season.
They will hold additional organized team activities Friday, June 8, 9 and 11. The Dolphins will hold mandatory minicamp from Tuesday through June 5 in Miami Gardens.
