The Philadelphia Eagles agreed to trade a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for veteran edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, a league source told UPI on Monday.
Phillips, 26, totaled 25 combined tackles, three sacks and a fumble recovery through his first nine starts this season. The No. 18 overall pick by the Dolphins in the 2021 NFL Draft totaled 26 sacks through his first five seasons.
Phillips, who logged a career-high 8.5 sacks as a rookie, missed 22 games in the 2023 and 2024 seasons with injuries. He is playing on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract and is set to hit free agency this off-season.
The Eagles (6-2) will play the Green Bay Packers (5-2-1) in their Week 10 matchup at 8:15 p.m. EST Nov. 10 in Green Bay, Wis. The Dolphins (2-7) will host the Buffalo Bills (6-2) at 1 p.m. Sunday in Miami Gardens, Fla.
