The Houston Texans agreed to a three-year, $37.5 million contract with veteran right guard Ed Ingram, a league source told UPI on Monday.
Ingram, 27, started 14 games last season for the Texans.
The second-round pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2022 NFL Draft joined the Texans through a trade last March. Ingram appeared in 62 games over his first four seasons.
The 6-foot-3, 307-pound offensive lineman rated as Pro Football Focus’ 11th-best guard last season among those who were in for at least 80% of the maximum snaps played at the position. He rated as the sixth-best run blocker among qualifying guards.
The Texans agreed to trade guard/tackle Tytus Howard, who started 16 games last season, to the Cleveland Browns last week. They also agreed to sign tackle Trent Brown, who missed 10 games due to injuries last season, to a one-year extension.
Left tackle Aireontae Ersery and center Jake Andrews, who started 16 games apiece last season, remain on the Texans roster. Ersery joined the Texans as a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Andrews was a fourth-round pick in 2023.
