London, Kittle, Bowers among injured in NFL's Week 1

Drake London, Brock Bowers and George Kittle were among the NFL stars injured in Week 1 of the 2025 season. Those hurt in Thursday, Friday and Sunday games will be further evaluated to determine timelines for return.

Kittle was quickly ruled out because of a hamstring injury during the second quarter of the San Francisco 49ers’ 17-13 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in Seattle.

Coach Kyle Shanahan said Kittle would receive an MRI scan to determine the extent of his injury. Kittle caught four passes for 25 yards and a score before his exit. He watched the remainder of the game from the sideline. Wide receiver Jauan Jennings departed early with a shoulder injury. He will also undergo imaging.

The 49ers (1-0) will take on the New Orleans Saints (0-1) on Sunday in New Orleans.

The Saints lost offensive tackle Taliese Fuaga to a knee injury during their 20-13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

Cardinals linebacker Cody Simon and safety Joey Blount were evaluated for concussions. Linebacker Zaven Collins sustained a hand injury.

The Cardinals (1-0) will host the Carolina Panthers (0-1) in Week 2.

London landed hard on his right shoulder while attempting to make a touchdown catch in the fourth quarter of the Atlanta Falcons’ 23-20 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday in Atlanta.

“I don’t know what happened,” Falcons coach Raheem Morris said. “I know he hurt his shoulder. We will have more on that when he has his X-rays and things of that nature.”

London totaled eight catches for 55 yards. Falcons wide receiver Jamal Agnew, who did not make a catch, also left the game early because of a groin injury.

The Falcons (0-1) will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 2. The Buccaneers (1-0) will take on the Houston Texans (0-1).

The Texans lost center Jake Andrews to an ankle injury during their 14-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.

“We will be monitoring that and evaluating a little bit more throughout the week,” Texans coach DeMeco Ryans said of the injury.

Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was evaluated for a concussion, but returned to the game. He totaled 10 catches for 130 yards in the win. The Rams lost offensive lineman Kevin Dotson to an ankle injury.

The Rams (1-0) will play the Tennessee Titans (0-1) in Week 2.

The Titans lost offensive tackle J.C. Latham to a hip injury and running back Kalel Mullings to an ankle injury in their 20-12 loss to the Denver Broncos.

Broncos tight end Evan Engram sustained a calf injury in the fourth quarter of the win. Engram totaled three catches for 21 yards.

The Broncos (1-0) will face the Indianapolis Colts (1-0) in Week 2.

Colts players escaped relatively unscathed from their 33-8 win over the Miami Dolphins on Sunday in Indianapolis.

The Dolphins lost two starting offensive lineman, guard James Daniels (pectoral) and right tackle Austin Jackson (toe). Starting cornerback Storm Duck also was ruled out with an ankle injury.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said he did not yet know about the severity of the injuries.

The Dolphins (0-1) will host the New England Patriots (0-1) in Week 2.

Bowers hurt his right knee during the Las Vegas Raiders’ 20-13 win over the Patriots on Sunday in Foxborough, Mass. The star tight end, who logged five catches for 103 yards, told NFL Network he was “fine” after the victory.

Raiders linebacker Elandon Roberts sustained an elbow injury and was ruled out against the Patriots.

The Raiders (1-0) will host the Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) in Week 2.

The Chargers, who beat the Kansas City Chiefs 27-21 on Friday in Sao Paulo, lost linebacker Denzel Perryman to an ankle injury in the victory.

Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy sustained a dislocated shoulder in the loss. The Chiefs have not announced how much time Worthy will miss due to that injury.

The Chiefs (0-1) will host the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) in Week 2.

Guard Landon Dickerson (back) and running back Will Shipley (ribs) were among the Eagles players injured during their win over the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday in Philadelphia.

The Cowboys (0-1) will host the New York Giants (0-1) in Week 2.

The Giants lost linebacker Micah McFadden to a leg/ankle injury during their Week 1 21-6 loss to the Washington Commanders.

The Commanders (1-0) will face the Green Bay Packers (1-0) in their second game of 2025.

Cornerback Bo Melton (shoulder), defensive lineman Brenton Cox (groin) and offensive linemen Zach Tom (hip) and Aaron Banks (ankle) were among the Packers players injured in their 27-13 Week 1 win over the Detroit Lions.

The Lions lost cornerback Terrion Arnold (groin) and safety Daniel Thomas (hand) in that loss. Lions coach Dan Campbell did not provide details about the severity of the injuries.

The Lions (0-1) will host the Chicago Bears in their second game.

The Cincinnati Bengals lost guard Lucas Patrick (calf) and linebacker Logan Wilson (concussion) during their 17-16 Week 1 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Browns tackle Jack Conklin sustained an eye injury in the loss.

The Bengals will host the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) in Week 2. The Browns (0-1) will meet the Baltimore Ravens (0-1) on Sunday in Baltimore.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost safety DeShon Elliott to a knee injury during their 34-32 win over the New York Jets. Linebacker Malik Harrison (knee) and cornerback Joey Porter Jr. (hamstring) are also dealing with injuries.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said those players will be evaluated this week to determine the extent of their injuries and potential timelines for return.

Jets running back Kene Nwangwu was ruled out with a hamstring injury during the loss.

The Steelers (1-0) will host the Seattle Seahawks (0-1) in Week 2. The Jets (0-1) will host the Buffalo Bills (1-0).

The Bears will host the Vikings in the Week 1 finale at 8:15 p.m. EDT Monday in Chicago. The Monday Night Football matchup will air on ABC, ESPN and ESPN2.

The Packers will host the Commanders in the Week 2 opener at 8:15 p.m. Thursday on Prime Video.
