The Mega Millions jackpot climbed to $965 million Tuesday night when no ticket matched all six numbers drawn.

The jackpot is now on the verge making Mega Millions history, with only eight prizes ever surpassing the $1 billion threshold, with the last massive pot won being the $1.269 billion prize claimed in late 2024.

The numbers drawn Tuesday night were 10, 13, 40, 42 and 46, plus the gold Mega Ball 1.

Tuesday’s draw saw a total of 809,030 winning tickets. One sold in Arizona had a 5X multiplier for a $5 million prize, while three others, sold in Iowa and New York, hit the 3X multiplier for a $3 million prize.

The next drawing is Friday with the $965 million — or $445.3 million in cash — on the line.

After four jackpots during the first six months of this year, Friday’s drawing will be the 40th in this run, a game record.

The last jackpot was claimed on June 27 in Virginia.

The odds of winning Friday’s jackpot are 1 in 290,472,336, Mega Millions said.
