NHTSA recalls more than 1M Toyota, Lexus, Subaru models

U.S. federal regulators issued a wide recall Wednesday on more than 1 million Lexus, Toyota and Subaru Solterra vehicles in the United States.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration recalled select 2022-2026 models fitted with a certain panoramic view monitor system. Its broad recall included Toyota’s Camry Hybrid and its Highlander models.

NHTSA officials said roughly 1,024,400 Toyota, Lexus and Subaru Solterra vehicles were included and all expected to have the defect that will freeze or show blank screen in reverse due to a software glitch.

They said that in addition to increasing crash risk, it brings affected vehicles out of federal safety compliance regulations.

According to NHTSA officials, owners can check to see if a vehicle is included in the recall effort.
