The Philadelphia Eagles “can’t guarantee” wide receiver A.J. Brown will be on their roster next year, coach Nick Siranni told reporters Tuesday.

Sirianni and Eagles general manager Howie Roseman met with reporters in Philadelphia before heading to the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis.

“Will A.J. be here next season? I think we’re still in a spot, like, I can’t guarantee how anything is going to play out into next season,” Sirianni said, according to ESPN. “I’m thinking I’m going to be the coach next season but you can’t guarantee anything past tomorrow.”

Sirianni also said his expectation is that Brown wants to stay he would like to keep the wide receiver with the Eagles.

“From my perspective, we’re looking to improve in all areas and you don’t do that by subtracting,” Roseman said, when asked about Brown.

Brown, 28, signed a three-year, $96 million contract extension with the Eagles in 2024. The three-time Pro Bowl selection is under contract through 2029. Brown hauled in 78 catches for 1,003 yards in 2025, his lowest yardage total for a season in which he played at least 12 games. He found the end zone seven times each of the last three seasons.

The Eagles would be on the hook for a dead salary cap hit of more than $40 million if they traded Brown before June 1. A post-June 1 trade would result in a dead salary cap hit of $20 million.

Roseman said the Eagles are “always listening,” when it comes to trade offers.

“I don’t think you can go into any conversation with anyone and just shoot things down without hearing what they have to say — because you never know,” Roseman said, according to The Athletic.

“You never know on any player. If someone’s going to give you something you didn’t anticipate and you won’t even have the conversation, I don’t think you’re necessarily doing your job, really servicing the team that you’re with.”
