Authorities in Seattle said a shooting erupted Sunday evening near the Space Needle, resulting in “multiple” victims.
The Seattle Police Department said in a statement that the shooting occurred near Seattle Center, where the Bite of Seattle food festival was being held over the weekend.
The cause of the shooting and the number of victims were not immediately clear.
“Please avoid the area,” the Seattle Police Department said online, adding that the shooting was under investigation.
Sunday was the final day of the Bite of Seattle, which attracts about 350,000 people over its three-day run, according to its website.
