The New York Giants said Skattebo sustained a dislocated right ankle in the second quarter of their 38-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday in Philadelphia. Skattebo underwent surgery on the ankle Sunday night.
A league source told UPI that Skattebo is out indefinitely due to the long-term nature of his injury.
“I feel absolutely terrible for the young man,” Giants coach Brian Daboll told reporters. “Obviously, you saw it. It looked bad. You feel for anybody on your team that goes down and has a really bad injury.”
