President Donald Trump said he had a “perfect” physical at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on Tuesday, his third checkup in just over a year.

“Just finished my 6 month physical at Walter Reed Military Medical Center. Everything checked out PERFECTLY. Thank you to the great Doctors and Staff! Heading back to the White House,” he posted on Truth Social at 12:40 p.m. EDT.

The White House usually sends out a memo of the exam results, but it hasn’t been released yet, and there have been no details of when it might come out.

The visit was announced May 11 and was said to include “routine annual dental and medical assessments as part of his regular preventative healthcare,” the White House said. He was also scheduled to “spend time with service members and staff at Walter Reed in recognition of their service, professionalism and dedication to the nation.”

He visited the hospital twice last year. In October, he went for “his routine yearly checkup,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said. But while there, he had an MRI. In April 2025, he also visited Walter Reed where he was given an annual physical. Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, who supervised that visit, said the examination included laboratory testing and consultations with 14 specialists.

“As we revealed in the post-examination report, the advanced imaging was perfectly normal and revealed absolutely no abnormalities,” Barbabella said in a statement in October.

Barbabella said in a statement in April 2025 that the president “remains in excellent health, exhibiting robust cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and general physical function.”

Trump has also seen his dentist in West Palm Beach twice this year. The first was in January, and the second was earlier this month for a follow-up visit.

In July, the White House announced that Trump has chronic venous insufficiency, which is when veins in the legs can’t return blood back to the heart properly.

He often has bruises on the back of his hand, which the White House has said is from shaking hands and taking aspirin as a blood thinner.
