One person is in custody Wednesday after authorities said his vehicle crashed into a temporary barrier near the White House.

The U.S. Secret Service is investigating the crash that happened at Madison and H streets just after 6:30 a.m. EDT. The agency has detained the driver and is questioning him, said Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the agency.

There were no reported injuries, and officials haven’t said what led to the crash. Several streets in the area were closed for the investigation, but have since reopened.

The Washington, D.C., police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit checked the vehicle, which the Secret Service said is being investigated as “suspicious.”
