An airman found dead at F. E. Warren Air Force Base in Wyoming was suspected in the on-duty shooting death of another airman on the base in July.
Airman 1st Class Marcus White Allen was found the morning of Oct. 8, the base’s 90th Missile Wing said in a release.
White Allen had been arrested in August for the July shooting death of Airman Brayden Lovan, which was believed to be a misfire. He was under investigation for involuntary manslaughter and suspicion of making a false official statement.
After the shooting of Lovan, the Air Force Global Strike Command suspended use of the Sig Sauer M18 pistol and ordered its command-wide inspection. On Aug. 25, the command resumed use, concluding the pistol was safe.
“Authorities are actively reviewing the July 2025 incident and White Allen’s death to determine the full circumstances of each,” base officials said. “Base leadership is fully supportive of both investigations with a focus on supporting those impacted by these tragic events.”
There are 1,400 airmen in the 90th Security Forces Group at F.E. Warren. They provide security for the nuclear weapons and ballistic missile silos in Wyoming.
