The San Francisco 49ers agreed to add $3 million in play-time incentives to veteran wide receiver Jauan Jennings’ contract, agent Drew Rosenhaus confirmed.

Rosenhaus confirmed the move Wednesday night. Jennings, who was set to earn $7.5 million this season, can now cash in for up to $10.5 million.

Jennings, 28, is entering his fifth season. The seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft signed a two-year, $11.89 million contract extension last off-season.

Jennings totaled career-highs in catches (77), receiving yards (975) and touchdowns (six) over 15 appearances last season. He has been dealing with a calf injury, but is set to start alongside Ricky Pearsall in Week 1. Jennings was a limited practice participant on Wednesday.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Skyy Moore are among the other healthy wide receivers on the 49ers roster. Veteran pass catcher Russell Gage, who recently re-signed with the 49ers practice squad, is also expected to be active this season.

The 49ers will face the Seattle Seahawks in their season opener at 4:05 p.m. EDT Sunday in Seattle.
