The Powerball jackpot jumped to a new high of $950 million for Saturday after no winner came forward on Wednesday.
The jackpot rolled after no ticket matched Wednesday night’s winning numbers: white balls 9, 12, 22, 41, 61, and red Powerball 25. The Power Play multiplier was 4.
Six tickets won $1 million in the drawing, three of which were sold in Arizona, New York and Virginia. The other three increased their winnings to $2 million by including the Power Play option.
Also, 40 tickets won $50,000, and ten won $200,000 prizes.
If a player wins the upcoming jackpot, they will have two choices to receive the payment: an annualized price estimated at $950 million or a lump sum payment estimated at $428.9 million. If the annuity option is chosen, they will receive one payment followed by 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year.
Saturday’s drawing will be the 39th drawing since the last jackpot on May 31, 2025 in California.
On Aug.25, the jackpot was worth $861 million, which marked the sixth-largest Powerball jackpot.
The next drawing is on Saturday, Aug 30, 11 p.m. EDT.
